Welcome Back!
I hope everyone had a restful, relaxing, and rewarding summer break. We are very excited to have everyone back in action this year. There are obviously some big changes to our school this year, but we are all excited to meet them head on and move forward with Mr. Mackenzie's motto "Where Effort and Kindness Count" in mind.
We would like to welcome Mr. Jay Fladager to our school as our new Principal, along with the new teachers and educational assistants that are joining our amazing community. I hope you all have a chance to meet them soon.
This year I am excited to be switching from teaching Science as my focus to Social and Treaty Education for our pod. We will be starting the year off with Treaty Four Celebrations on September 11th out at Fort Qu'Appelle, so expect permissions and requests for parent volunteers on the first day!
Parents I have a special request for you. I have created a form for you to fill out to help me collect your emails and get to know your wonderful children faster. Please take some time over the week to fill out this FORM as it will help me create a tailored approach to your child's education this year.
I would like to also take a moment to let everyone know that plans are in place for a memorial service for our beloved Mr. MacKenzie. The service will take place at Resurrection Catholic Church on Monday, September 10th at 6:45 and then a reception back at the school to follow. As we learn more information we will share it.
